The “Leadership Book Club is the best thing I've done in years, and I look forward to it each month. It has pushed me to get back into reading and given it a purpose and structure, thinking about what I've learnt and can put into practice”
THE ELIS LEADERSHIP BOOK CLUB
Recommended Reading: A curated list of leadership books to read at the beginning of each month.
Tailored Reflective Worksheet: A worksheet designed to get you thinking, reflecting, and applying the book's lessons to your leadership style.
Facilitated On The Go Discussions: Throughout the month, a facilitator will pose reflective questions and discussions in the online community so you can connect to the discussion and learning conveniently.
Cheat Sheet: A book summary for those who may not have time to read it in full but still wish to participate in the discussions.

Follow-Up Recap: A summary of key points in the conversation, usually expanding on the topic with real-life examples, challenges, and reflections.
Peer Support: An opportunity to learn together, reflect together, critically think together, and access informal support from both a leadership coach and peers.

"The leadership book club is the richest learning environment I have ever experienced. It is one which encourages participants to be daring about what they bring to the discussions and supports them as they do so. The super book choices, authentic contributions and Sile’s expertise make for a powerful combination. Every committed leader has so much to gain from being part of this as its impact reaches far beyond the reading and sessions. Sile’s skilled facilitation sets the tone for a breadth and depth of openness that is extremely rare"
Hi, I'm Sile (She-la)
I specialise in strategic leadership and organisational development, focusing on inclusion, psychological safety and performance.
In 2024, I became an international bestselling author with my book "Inclusive Leadership Navigating Organisational Complexity". It achieved a remarkable milestone as a TRIPLE BESTSELLER, securing top positions on the Irish Times, Sunday Independent and Amazon International Bestseller lists and longlisted for the CAP Awards 2024.
I am experienced in coaching senior leaders and middle managers across sectors, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, education, technology, and commerce, both in Ireland and internationally. I have over a decade of experience working with individuals, teams, and organisations to support change management, leadership development, inclusion and diversity, and organisational development programmes. Sile is committed to being inclusive in her work and supporting people from various backgrounds to reach their potential, including people who experience systemic barriers in society.
I am a PhD candidate focusing on the role of psychology in inclusive leadership within private organisations.
I have an international client base and speak on leadership, inclusion, and coaching psychology. I lectured across several Irish and UK universities, with University College Cork, on the masters in organisational psychology, personal and management coaching, Greenwich University, and the professional academy with UCD.

We have a supportive Leadership Book Club
So how do we do things?
Book choices emerge alongside the conversations and topics during book club meetings.
- Participants are regularly invited to influence decisions.
- We take a casual, friendly and relaxed approach.
- We try to minimise ego-driven conversations or performative professionalism.
- We encourage supportive, reflective and curious meetings.
- We use Chatham House Rules. This means that while participants are free to use the information discussed, neither the identity nor the affiliation of the participants will be revealed. This supports a culture of trust and psychological safety.
